nearly launched straight into a full-power Turbo mix, but all my career I’ve been a DJ that likes to unfold a story and build to the crescendo of Turbo, and only having an hour mix feels a bit rushed trying to get there.
I feel my deeper hypnotic mixes are more suited to radio (that always have a sting in the tail), but fear not I’ll be bringing back long extended JOOF Edition marathon mixes and putting them on my/JOOF YouTube channel + lots of other guest mixes, more information to come soon!

On guest mix duties, Ormus takes off with an amazing heads-down mix.

I always like to compliment my own mixes with the guest mix, something I do organically when playing at clubs/festivals to make smooth transitions from the DJ’s playing before and after, then head in my own direction once in my flow.

This month we have a heads-down dark mix from Kozy (AlpaKa MusiK), so I’ve set things up with a nice lush hypnotic mix with sprinkles of magical moments.

My love and quest to continue supporting and nurturing the more specialist side of Trance continues. Last month, Beatport asked me to make a chart to show my favourite releases over the last year, and I mentioned on last month’s show that it would be a good idea to let one of you make a mix of the chart for me to play this month. After listening to many amazing mixes, DJ Custard stood out, winning the guest mix on this month’s show.

I continue the same vibe, opening the show with an hour mix of some exciting finds that I’ve been playing a lot at recent shows.
